About Me

I’m Sarah Price- The Northumberland Celebrant and thank you for visiting my website!

Choosing the celebrant that is the right fit for you and your family is so important; they’ll be there for some of the most important moments of your life after all, so here’s a bit about me…

After a rewarding career as an English and Drama teacher in some fantastic secondary schools I decided it was time for a change of direction. I’ve always had a flair for creative writing (especially script writing) and after teaching for so many years I’m a confident and strong public speaker.

But it wasn’t until I attended a close friend’s wedding, led by an amazing celebrant, that I realised I was looking at my dream job!

I’m a fully accredited and qualified celebrant having undertaken training with Civil Ceremonies Ltd, and the Academy of Modern Celebrancy, both leading training providers in the UK.

I love meeting new people and hearing their stories; the highs, the lows and all the hilarious bits along the way! Writing and conducting ceremonies is something I take enormous pride in. It’s a privilege to guide couples and families through some of life’s most important milestones and a huge honour to help them create a beautiful ceremony that is special and unique to them.

As well as being The Northumberland Celebrant, I also have a wonderful husband called Anthony and am mum to Arthur and Josie. We live with our labradoodle Freddie, next to the beach in beautiful North Northumberland where I walk the dog, read too many crime thrillers and run a theatre school for young children in my local community.
